During my time as the Aquatics Area Director I started the first LaSalle Council Aquatics Committee that oversaw any Aquatics related council events and helped bring funds to the Camp Tamarack Aquatics Area. As of today I serve as the Pioneer Trails District Social Media Communications Chair and as the Papakitchie Chapter Advisor and now working as Camp Commissioner of Camp Tamarack in my 9th year on staff. ![]() I completed my Ordeal on 9/26/09. On I was bestowed the Brotherhood honor. During my time as an Arrowmen I served as Chapter Chief for Papakitchie Chapter where I focused on getting members active again. I spent 2 years as Chapter Chief for Papakitchie Chapter. In 2019 I was tapped out for my Vigil Honor in the Order of the Arrow and after going through my Vigil ceremony on 9/25/16 I was given the Lenni Lenape name Wuhhala Lehellechewagan Mennupek meaning Protector of Life and Sea in reference to my time working on the Ambulance and serving as the Aquatics Area Director. I now serve as the Papakitchie Chapter Advisor. I started working at Camp Tamarack as an Aquatics staff member under the Directorship of Bill Stauffacher who I hold in regards as being one of my Eagle Mentors. My second and third year I served as the Aquatics Asst. Where a lot of kids in the foster system only have a garbage bag to put their personal belongings in. After I had turned 18 I served as Junior Assistant Scoutmaster until I was 21. During my time as JASM I was awarded 2 Eagle Mentor awards. Once I earned my First Class Rank in Scouting and was eligible to be a part of the OA I was nominated to go through my Ordeal by my troop. for foster children who were being assigned to a new family. I started as a Tiger Cub in Cub Scouts in 2002 in Pack 708. I crossed over from Cub Scouts, after earning my Arrow of Light, into Scout Troop 7. During this time I served as Troop Scribe and Senior Patrol Leader. I earned my Eagle in 2013 after completing my Eagle Project called Cases 4 Kids where I gathered suitcases, backpacks, etc. Introducing Anthony Conrad, Camp Commissioner: Some of my best memories come from Camp Tamarack, and I want to be sure that scouts attending have the same opportunity to make those memories. My goal as program director is to create a fun and memorable summer camp environment, while helping scouts learn and progress in the program. I’ve been a staff member at Camp Tamarack for 8 years now, starting off as a CIT in the blacksmithing area, later working my way up as a staff member, assistant area director, area director, and now program director. I first joined as a Webelo scout in 2012 in pack 522, later joining Troop 525 where I completed my Eagle rank in 2020.
